COVID-19 Update: Temporary closure of RMA lab

As the situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are following the guidance from the public health authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of all customers and employees.

On March 15, 2020, we were advised that one of our employees at our Rocky Mountain Analytical (RMA) lab in Calgary, AB, had tested positive for COVID-19. This employee is currently in self-isolation at home.

In the interest of health and safety, we have temporarily closed the RMA lab for two weeks, effective March, 16, 2020. We will be completing a full decontamination of the lab and we are also asking that all RMA employees self-isolate for two weeks as a precautionary measure.

How this may impact test results

If you are currently awaiting test results, we will be in contact with you shortly to go over next steps. In many cases, we may ask for a replacement sample due to the temporary closure of the lab. If that is the case, this will come as no cost.

If you currently have a patient who is collecting a sample or planning to mail one in we ask that you advise your patient to wait until after March 30.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to continue to provide our services to the health and wellness communities. For the latest updates and information, please visit www.rmalab.com
